The Mission Started in 2013. It Has Never Stopped.

In 2013, I founded what was then called the Institute of Mentorship and Leadership Training. I was driven by a simple but deep conviction: that Africa's growth depends on the quality of its leaders and the strength of its institutions, and that I had both the responsibility and the capability to contribute to that.

That institution is now ExcelloPact Professional and Leadership Institute. And as of 1 May 2026, it has my full and undivided focus.

EPLI was not something I started when I had spare time. It was the mission. Everything else was in service of building the credibility, systems, and expertise to do it properly.

For eight of those years, I simultaneously served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Cocoa360, a leading cocoa sector social enterprise operating across Ghana, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. In that role, I built HR systems, leadership structures, performance management frameworks, and organisational governance from the ground up within a complex organisation spanning farming, processing, healthcare, and education. I am deeply grateful to the Cocoa360 leadership and team for that chapter. Cocoa360 is now one of EPLI's clients, and that relationship continues.

But EPLI was always the mission.

Over a decade of consistent work, EPLI has trained over 2,000 professionals, served over 100 institutions, and delivered programmes across 12 countries spanning Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The rebrand from IMLT to ExcelloPact Professional and Leadership Institute in October 2025 reflected what the institution had grown into — not what it was becoming.

So what does EPLI do?

We help organisations build better leaders and stronger institutions. We do this through three core areas of work: leadership training and capacity building, HR and organisational systems development, and institutional advisory and consulting. We also represent clients at the National Labour Commission of Ghana on employment and labour matters.

Our clients span public institutions, regulatory authorities, oil and gas companies, fintech firms, healthcare facilities, transport organisations, NGOs, and SMEs. The challenge we address is almost always the same, even when the sector is different: organisations that are running on effort and personality rather than systems and structure, and that are paying a significant performance price for it.

The organisations that perform consistently over time are not the ones with the most talented individuals. They are the ones with the strongest systems.

That is what we build.

If you lead an organisation that is serious about its people, its systems, and its long-term performance, I would like to hear from you. Not with a pitch — with a conversation about what you are dealing with and whether EPLI can help.

The mission started in 2013. It has never stopped. It is just beginning its next chapter.
